Army Residence Community Renovations Project Progress and Update on Army Residence Community Renovations Project

Lead designers Beth Faircloth and Marissa Arnette from CJMW’s Interior Design Studio traveled to Texas last week to oversee the furniture installation for the community’s fourteen-story independent living apartment building.

CJMW’s Interior Design Studio is part of a team engaged by the Army Residence Community (ARC) to develop and implement a masterplan for the community’s future. The Army Residence Community is a full-service CCRC with over 750 residents who come from a wide range of military and governmental services. A recent strategic planning process revealed the need to replace some existing facilities and renovate/ reposition others. The team has been working in an accelerated process to implement the master plan that maps out recommendations and conceptual site/ building plans.

As part of the planning process, the CJMW Interior Design team conducted resident surveys to gain additional insight into resident priorities, concerns, and goals; completed a code review and analysis as well as an assessment of existing space and furnishings to evaluate for future/ potential alternate uses; and studied the local neighborhood, community and residential market, all to help develop plan options. The first phase of renovations include updating, refreshing, and where needed, re-configuring not only the apartments but also the main commons spaces.

Now that the work in the apartment lounges and corridors is complete, we cannot wait to see the rest of the project come together!
