John J. Evans III Joins CJMW Architecture as Senior Project Manager.
CJMW Architecture and Interior Design is pleased to welcome John J. Evans III as a Senior Project Manager, with a primary focus on the firm’s Senior Living market sector. John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Drexel University and brings nearly two decades of architectural experience, having worked on projects in 13 states.
Throughout his career, John has built strong client relationships across a wide range of market sectors. His work in the Senior Living sector encompasses all levels of care, including independent living cottages and apartments, hybrid buildings, personal care, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, wellness centers, natatoriums, and community spaces. His expertise also extends into hospitality, multi-family housing, healthcare, and higher education.
Prior to joining CJMW, John served as a Project Manager at RLPS Architects, a national architecture and interior design firm, where he led numerous successful projects. He offers deep experience in residential architecture and is well-versed in the various financing methods these projects often require. What sets John apart is his integrated approach to architecture and interior design—he believes that thoughtful, cohesive design enhances the experience of both residents and staff while addressing clients’ market-specific needs. This approach dovetails seamlessly with CJMW’s collaborative and client-centered culture.
John is known for his hands-on, solutions-focused project management style. He excels in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, managing consultant relationships, and guiding projects from concept through construction. His strength lies in developing and maintaining strong partnerships with clients, owner representatives, and general contractors throughout the entire project lifecycle.
At the heart of John’s work is a deep commitment to the human experience of architecture. His design philosophy is rooted in the belief that spaces should support meaningful connections between individuals and their families—especially in environments where loved ones are being cared for. This passion is personal, inspired by the 30 years his grandmother spent aging in place at a Continuing Care Retirement Community. John has dedicated much of his career to creating facilities that offer others the same dignity, options, and quality of life his family experienced. For John, every project is a way to give back to the generations who came before.
Outside of work, John cherishes time with his wife, two sons, and their dogs. He and his family enjoy attending car shows and tackling collaborative interior design projects around their home. His sons share their passion for football with him, while he shares his love of cars with them.
