appalachian state university north end zone facility

project story

Appalachian State University’s new North End Zone facility is 87,000 SF and will serve as the iconic new entrance to the Kidd Brewer Stadium. The $43 million facility replaces the 45-year-old Owens Fieldhouse. The new building completely transformed the stadium’s north end to provide additional and newly created spaces for players, coaches, fans, and the campus community.

Significant space within the building is dedicated to training and team support spaces.

Includes athletic training, hydrotherapy and locker rooms, and nutrition science research areas, as well as conference and continuing education training space, medical office space, dining facilities, a team store and ticketing office, approximately 1,000 premium seats, and offices for coaches and athletics staff. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the Grandview Room on the fourth floor offer a bird’s eye view of the game. On non-game days, it serves as the largest event and banquet space on campus, available to the community and others for event space.

LEED Silver Certified.
