CJMW’s Interior Design team worked with Penick Village to develop options for and design a series of high-impact and budget-smart refreshes to The Woodlands, an independent living building at the heart of Penick Village’s campus.
Step one involved an assessment of needs and options. Starting with a vision session with Penick Village’s administration and key staff, the team developed a Neighborhood Story, CJMW’s unique and proprietary process to create authentic design tuned to each specific place and client.
Using a three-tiered “Good/ Better/ Best” set of options for both finishes and furnishings, the team communicated initial pricing direction to the General Contractor, allowing Penick Village to quickly select the preferred option. CJMW also provided historical cost information and evaluated existing furniture for possible reuse.
