As a public-facing outlet of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist’s renown Sticht Center for the Aging, this clinic, located in Winston-Salem’s Innovation Quarter, provides evaluations and education on aging to the community. The Center includes several exam rooms, physical therapy/evaluation area, and offices. The design is functional and professional  yet welcoming and reassuring to help visitors and patients feel comfortable. Evaluative measures are downplayed where possible, for example, markers to measure how far a person can naturally walk in a straight line are seamlessly integrated into the carpet design.
