ahwfb wound care clinic
project story
Part of a series of ongoing work for Wake Forest Baptist Health, the Wound Care Clinic includes waiting areas, nurse and staff areas, reception, physician and administrative offices, treatment rooms, and control and patient monitoring areas.
Furnishings and finishes in the new Wound Care Clinic are designed to improve visitor experience by creating welcoming, accessible, innovative spaces that transform the traditional, institutional environment. The design team developed a scheme that visually unifies the space using a neutral backdrop with variations in color and pattern that give different functional areas their own identity. Clinic areas are simple, clean, and soothing for patients being treated; the waiting area is warmer, with a rich wood wall at the reception desk and more visual interest in texture and pattern throughout the space. Color punctuates internal circulation areas while private offices are more neutral to facilitate focus.
